Strategy Forum

We saw a discussion of some strategies and shifts in the “Learning Strategies for Remediation” and “Reading and Writing in Math” Chapters, illustrating “What do you see?” / “Where are we?” discussions to solve mathematical mysteries, using multiple representations, activating visual models, and writing about relevant applications of mathematical thinking.

What strategies have you activated to help learners understand math? If these strategies are new to you, then choose a strategy that you would like to try in the classroom. Either way, show us how you use that strategy. Use MS Word, Jing, colored pencils, digital photos, or whatever works for you, to walk us through how you use that strategy to help students learn, and upload the explanation and artifacts to this forum.
