1. Select the skills that need to be taught.

2. Analyze student readiness and learning profiles.

3. Create an activity and place it on a continuum scale (from concrete to abstract or simple to complex) to practice assessing its difficulty.

4. Create other activities on that scale based on the readiness of the students.

5. Match the student to the activities on the scale based on the student’s abilities.
